Airstreams were superbly built from aircraft-grade 2024 Alclad
aluminium alloy, which
is strong, durable and can be polished to give a much-admired mirror finish. Over sixty percent
of all Airstreams built since the 1930's are still in existence - they were made to last!
Airstream caravans are built like an airliner fuselage, with an aluminium inner and outer
skin, riveted to a lightweight aluminium frame. This
creates a very tough, long-lasting
structure, and looks pretty damn
cool, too! They're also well-insulated,
which helps them to keep warm in Winter and cool in Summer.
